Iphone 3G? I don't think so.

With the new Iphone 3g out, its now only available if you sign a new plan from singtel. I'm not sure if they even allow buying the handset itself without any contract.

With Iphone, Singtel actually came up with three new mobile plans.

8Gb iphone costs additionally S$348,S$49,free and 16Gb costs additionally S$508,S$208, free with Iflexi value, plus, premium respectively.

If you want to stay on your current voice plan, you cannot continue by changing to the Iflexi plans to get IPhone. To get IPhones, you either have to terminate your contract, which comes with a penalty of S$800 if the contractual period has not met, or you either sign another new number/line with the IFlexi plans and use it concurrently with the old voice plan.

Also, with your old voice plan, you may want to think of signing up mobile broadband bundled together to get IPhone 3g, but the phone itself will cost more.
S$568,S$728 for 8Gb and 16Gb respectively.

Yzuke thinks: I don't think it is worth it at all. Such an expensive phone, I think alternatively another phone like the HTC Touch series is worth more the money. IPhone 3G with 2mp camera only? Thats quite sad. But I do prefer its user interface a lot more than windows mobile. With spacious storage with 8Gb or 16Gb, there wouldn't be much problem storing your music and videos. Will do a review if I get to touch an Iphone.
